This past weekend, PM and I went with a group of other Consulate folks to check out the Panyu Ancient Village. It was an awesome day trip where we got to explore the preserved old village, eat some local specialties, and on the way home, see a traditional garden.

After the village, we headed to a nearby traditional garden. The bus ride there was quite interesting as we drove through a construction zone and took the bus off-roading. We also got to see some interesting creatures at a place that is proof that there is a store for everything.

This store sold giant statues of all sorts of creatures. |
The garden was beautiful. It was very picturesque and we wished we had time for a tea ceremony while we were there. I would love to go back with a picnic and just hang out.
Happy Birthday Sara, have a wonderful day. Thanks for sharing all your experiences in that great land.
