Three weekends ago, PM and I ventured to the holy grail for consular folks living here in Guangzhou: Hong Kong. Everyone around the consulate was amazed that we hadn't been yet as we had been here over 3 months already! Hong Kong really is a whole different world than Guangzhou.
Our trip to Hong Kong was in celebration of our 1 year anniversary of the first wedding and we wanted to celebrate with friends as it was friends who made our first wedding a success. A junk boat trip had been in the works for some time, which made it the perfect way to celebrate.
We spent Saturday out in Victoria Harbor swimming, kayaking, drinking, dancing, and eating delicious Thai food, and getting very sunburned, even with 50 spf sunscreen on. Oops!

There were tons of big ships out in the harbor, which made PM really excited. |
 |
Nothing like a post-swimming dance party to dry you off. |

Our final view of Victoria Harbor. |

Can't quite see the sunburn yet, but it is there... |
Because we were on the boat all day Saturday, we didn't get to see much of Hong Kong, which means we will just have to go back! Good news is, its only a two hour train ride away!
