Beijing Road and the Buddhas

Yesterday we ventured out to Beijing Road. It was cool and rainy and not the best day for exploring, but with only two years here, we have to take advantage of every day as there is so much to see and do!

We had heard about Beijing Road on the TV Insider (hotel TV). We were told Beijing Road was home to lots of shopping and local eats, especially street food (we have yet to see much of it). Maybe it was the weather, maybe it was the time of day or the season, but we were feeling like TV Insider and Trip Advisor had lied to us. And then we stumbled across one of the coolest things I have seen in China so far- a Buddhist temple and we were fortunate enough to discover it when a service was going on. The monks, the incense, the colors, the singing. PM and I could have stayed there and watched for hours.
